How our guides are made

  • Written from practice. Guides are written by the Calm Pet Home behavior team, based on the methods we actually coach — observation, gradual steps, and positive reinforcement.
  • Reviewed and dated. Every guide shows a review date. We re-review Singapore-specific pages quarterly, because official requirements can change.
  • Official sources own the rules. Where a topic touches licensing, housing, or animal-related regulation, we link to the official page (AVS, NParks, HDB) and defer to it. We quote sparingly and state clearly that we are independent.
  • Safety boundaries in every guide. Each behavior guide states when to stop and see a veterinarian. Health rules out first; training comes second.

What we will not publish

  • Claims of treatment, diagnosis, cure, or guaranteed behavior outcomes.
  • Invented reviews, testimonials, or case studies. Testimonials appear only with the client's separate, specific permission — never as a condition of service.
  • Content implying government affiliation or endorsement.
  • Techniques based on fear, pain, or intimidation — under any framing.

Affiliate and product content

We currently have no affiliate relationships. If we later publish equipment comparisons, they will follow the rules in our Affiliate Disclosure: clear labeling, review criteria published, and no pay-for-placement.

Corrections

Found something outdated or wrong? Email info@calmpethome.com with the page link. We review correction reports within five business days, fix verified errors, and update the review date. Material corrections are noted on the page.
